It's been a while since I have posted here on the blog. Life has been quite busy. Between work and all the busyness that a new semester brings to kicking it into high gear with my workout it seems I need more hours in my day. I'm hoping to train to be in a Triathlon Sprint (1/2 mile swim, 15 mile bike, 3 mile run) in June It has been a really good month. Also I started attending a new Sunday school class where we are studying the book "The Discipline of Grace" by Jerry Bridges...wow...it is an amazing book. I highly recommend it!

Last night Desiree and I went out to the shooting range. I have to give a lot of credit and thanks to Desiree for being a great instructor. We shot 80 rounds using couple of different handguns including a Beretta and a Luger. Not too shabby for my second time, huh?

This past Saturday, Grace and I had our annual Lozano Girls Christmas Party. We decided to have it on the 6th of January which traditionally is known as the Day of the Kings or the 12th day of Christmas. I had so much fun cooking all the food for the party! We made California caviar, fresh salsa, tapenade, turkey, roast beef, garlic mashed potatoes, cream corn casserole, green bean casserole (thanks Jeri!), gravy, cookies, spice cake (thanks Abby!), and cupcakes (thanks Jenny!) Thank you all for coming!!

Happy New Year! I thank God for so many blessings this past year. My prayer is that I will be more and more faithful to Him this year. I am committed to seeking Him with all my heart and letting Him guide and direct my life. I was blessed to spend New Year's Eve with my friend Desiree down in Oceanside. What a great time we had sharing about blessings and struggles and encouraging each other to be committed and faithful to the Lord.

The last couple of weeks have flown by! Where do I start? On Wednesday, Dec 20th, Mom, my brother-in-law Jon and I flew to Georgia to spend Christmas with my brother and his family. It was so special to see all the kids again. I love being an aunt! I enjoyed hearing little Margie hum and sing carols as we mailed the Christmas letters in Bethlehem, GA. On Christmas Eve we went to their church for a very inspiring service in English and Spanish then came home to a feast of delicious food. We were about 14 in all. Grace was able to join us via a webcam (God bless modern technology!). Finally it was time to open all the gifts... the kids favorite part, of course.
